APG Mission & How It Works
The Mission of the APG is to provide cutting-edge educational, certification programs and job placement which enables passionate individuals to work in the golf industry or succeed as golf business owners.
The APG focuses on helping individuals seeking a rewarding and fulfilling career in the golf industry as well as public golf courses, indoor golf facilities & golf-related businesses.
We do this through a 1 year certification program via the APG Academy that guides individuals through a discovery & training process in the areas within the golf business industry that best matches their skills, passions, ideal work-life balance & financial goals.
The APG certification program includes hands-on, paid internships working within successful APG-partnered golf companies in their area of specialty, post graduation job placement assistance, and life-long support to help all graduates fulfill their potential both personally and professionally while making the largest possible positive impact.
Following graduation, APG-certified individuals gain access to continuing education training and the ability to stay connected with APG instructors & other APG graduates for lifelong mentorship, growth and networking opportunities through the APG Community Portal.
APG-certified individuals who also love to play and compete have the opportunity to play in local, regional, national team golf events for friendly competition, camaraderie and prize purses.
APG is a tuition-based program involving a 1 year certification program (per specialty) that includes all educational and training materials as well as placement into a paid, hands-on internship job that enables them to learn from the best - “earning while learning” - while enrolled in the program.
Upon successful completion of the certification program, graduates receive official APG certification with the ability to list “APG” (eg. John Doe, APG) credentials to publicly validate their expertise in their area of specialty and for resume validation.

Message from the President & Why the APG?
Since 1998, I've been involved with owning+managing golf businesses including marketing agencies, tournament management, videography, business consulting and golf courses.
One of the greatest needs of the golf industry in 2026 and beyond is teaching individuals how to specialize in areas of the golf industry that make them valuable to their employer or learn the skills needed to be a successful golf business owner themselves.
APG is filling that need and I invite you to join the APG movement.
